Whet your appetite with our Leather Care Liniment No. 1 Recipe Guide!

A LEATHER CONDITIONER FOR ALL KINDS OF LEATHER

Leather Care Liniment uses a light emulsion of oils and water to gently condition leather. Of all of Leather Milk’s recipes, this is the ideal conditioner for leather of more natural qualities, lighter hues, and unfinished leather, due to its gentle yet highly enriching effects. In fact, Liniment’s versatility is immediately disarming, adapting with ease to beautify and enrich nearly any kind of leather, from full grain and vegetable-tanned to exotic crocodile and deerskin. This recipe is a true Jack-of-All-Trades. If you’ve got leather, Liniment’s got you covered.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, ALL-NATURAL, SAFE FOR HUMAN SKIN!

Brewed to perfection with all-natural ingredients and an optimal pH-balanced recipe, this environmentally friendly leather conditioner stands out from the crowd for its distinctive style: a rich, creamy consistency laced with scents of cherry and almond. The texture, designed for easy application and maximum absorption, will melt into your leather as easily as butter on hot bread. This conditioning experience is made even more pleasurable with a tease of sweet fragrance – a subtle sensation lasting only as long as long as the conditioner takes to absorb, so that it will not affect your leather’s natural scents. Made with FDA approved, cosmetic grade ingredients safe for human skin, we’ve even watched people drink our Leather Milk recipe straight out of the bottle like actual milk! We wouldn’t personally advise doing this, of course!

STRONGER, RICHER LEATHER; MADE IN USA

Like all of Chamberlain’s leather conditioners, Recipe No.1 should enrich your leather’s color and give it the soft, supple texture that it deserves. As this recipe absorbs and conditions, it will strengthen the fibers of your leather, making it grow stronger, and live longer. A light cleaning element permits Leather Care Liniment to give your leather a gentle surface cleansing, and its protective properties allow it to moderately repel routine contaminants, like dust and dirt.

If you have already used Leather Care Liniment, you will not need to apply any other leather conditioners to your leather, at least until it is ready to be conditioned again. All Leather Milk products are made in USA.

Chamberlain's Leather Milk (Leather Care Liniment) is used on all Saddleback Leather's products before the items are shipped to their customers.

Just as milk is a primary nutrient for so much of animal and human life, so Chamberlain's Leather Milk is for all things leather.  Those who buy our leather care products tend to be people who own quality leather items (leather furniture, luxurious auto leather interiors, leather briefcases, leather purses, and leather luggage); and, they tend to be people who know how to take good care of their stuff.  This is how it is with quality leather goods: the leather needs to be cared for in a particular way and in a regular fashion for it to look its best and last for years to come.  Chamberlain's Leather Milk was created for just this purpose!  Made from natural, leather-nutrient-rich ingredients; concocted from natural oils and conditioners, plus a few highly classified mystical properties...Chamberlain's Leather Milk's leather conditioners, leather cleaners and leather protectors will feed, strengthen, and beautify your leather goods. I had a black leather jacket that was about the "loudest" jacket I'd ever had. It would squeak and swish every time I wore it which meant I wore it less and less. I finally decided to see if I could try something to make it better and settled on Chamberlain's after researching different products. What a difference! My jacket went from very stiff to pliable after applying Chamberlain's as directed. I also applied Chamberlain's #3 Waterproofer at the same time. It's like I have a brand new jacket. I am very happy with this product.

Let me start by saying my grandfather was a shoemaker from the old country - which has led to me being a 3rd generation obsessive of leather, especially boots, bags, and shoes. I've been taking good care of all things leather since I was a teenager so I'm very picky and like to rely on the tried and true..... I've used saddle soap and mink oil for years on all kinds of boots, shoes and bags so when I bought a vintage coach purse that needed some help, I knew I was going to start with Saddle soap. Of course saddle soap works great but the leather was still very dull in color and somewhat dried out looking. While I usually follow up with mink oil on this type of smooth leather I decided to try the "leather milk" here. It really does have a lovely almond smell and it's liquid- so very easy to work with- leather will soak it up immediately. What's amazing is how quickly it brings out the natural color of the leather and leaves it looking bright and supple again- I was really amazed. I could have left the bag alone at this point, but I still wanted to recondition the leather with the heft of mink oil. After letting the bag dry for a day it was still soft and beautiful looking. The mink oil went on without issue and overall I feel like this bag looks like it's been professionally reconditioned. I also tried this on some Ugg boots I wear a lot in the winter. They are black nubuck so technically I don't think this is the right product to use overall for nubuck- however these are well worn black boots and I didn't mind them getting a little darker. The liniment went on easily and the boots soaked up all the good stuff easily. The nubuck looks brand new again. I have a new laptop bag of very fine smooth leather which will eventually need conditioning. While it might darken the leather, I'm sure this product will keep it beautiful for a lifetime. I'm so happy with this stuff I'm going to check out their other products- like water proofing treatment. It looks like they started as a saddle bag company and developed their own treatment with good ingredients that are healthy for humans and the environment. I have to appreciate the humor of the last note on the instructions on the back of the bottle- " to help stimulate our ailing economy, buy and use more than you need". You can't use too much of this, your leather will love it, and I'd be happy to buy more from this independent company.

My name is Michael Paratore and I semi-recently quit my job as a corporate lawyer to start a hand-made leather shoe company called mohinders (www.mohinders.com). Our first shoe, which we call the City Slipper, is made of vegetable tanned leather that is pretty stiff, dry and unwieldy after the tanning process. As a result, we needed to soften up our shoes prior to shipping them to the end customer. We tried several products (Leather Honey, Bick 4, Neatsfoot and others) and none worked like Chamberlain’s Leather Milk No. 1. It softened and conditioned the leather in our shoes perfectly! It also didn’t cause any discoloration to the leather, which was very important to us. And, to top it all off, Leather Milk smells delicious…like almond pastries! I like it so much that we’ve added a step to our finishing process that I call “Finishing Step 2: Hand-massaging with Leather Milk. - Michael Paratore Mohinders, “The Holy Grail of Shoes”

We have a small boutique and working studio in Friday Harbor, Washington, where we make leather handbags to order and sell our production line, Momentum Handbag. I notice a shopper’s bag before I see her face, so, if it’s a great leather bag in shabby shape, I will ask if I can use my Chamberlain’s on it to make her bag look new. Part of that is to bless her, but mostly to satisfy my obsessive curiosity to see what will happen. She invariably says yes, and we are both kind of relieved and happy when it works its magic mojo, because our lives revolve around our handbags. Chamberlain’s Leather Milk should be called ‘Wow, Check THAT Out!!’ or ‘Whoa, Did That Just Happen?!’ P.S. I actually used the #3 Water Protectant to buff up a wooden antique screen that we use as a divider in the store. Just sayin’. - Winnie Brumsickle Owner/Operator of Momentum Handbag

I bought this product because I wanted to restore a red leather Coach purse that looked dull, dry, and covered in scratches. I also had accidentally spilled some oily soup on it which had stained the front slightly. I was debating between this and the Leather Honey conditioner but in the end picked this one (I'll probably still buy Leather Honey to see how that works). All I know is that Chamberlain's Leather Milk worked really well. It was really helpful that this came with the cotton applicator (which, incidentally turned red when I used it on the red leather, but the purse is fine). The leather looks so healthy and hydrated and the texture is quite soft and supple. The scratch marks are gone as well. Initially, the purse looked darker and I was worried that the color had changed drastically. After 10 minutes to let it dry, the color returned to normal (and the stain from the oily soup was gone!). The almond scent of the Leather Milk is incredible. This is definitely worth the money and I will be purchasing this again! (NOTE: I also used it on another purse I had and that one initially had a slightly sticky coating which went away once it completely dried.)

This conditioner is simply astounding! I used it on an old, old bag and it softened the leather and renewed the color. I used it on my briefcase and scratches and marks disappeared! I even used it on a leather duster I have, and not only did it restore the leather, it also smells nice! Some leather products are chemically based and it shows in the nose! Not Leather Milk! Now, if it would only work on my face, to remove wrinkles, soften the skin, get rid of them nasty old age spots...alas, I guess only my leather goods will benefit. Buy some, use it, enjoy it, your leather will thank you for it! There is one problem with Leather Milk that you should know about before you purchase. You won't be able to buy just one bottle! Once you see what it does for your leather goods, you, and your leather, will be hooked! This is a great product, by a great company, the performs a great service...so what's not to love?
